Very sorry to hear about Pat. I knew Pat going back to St. Thomas days. We would walk home together sometimes since he lived along the way. I met his family and his mother and mine became friends. Always had a smile on his face. RIP my friend.
I remember Pat from Boy Scouts (St. Thomas' Troop 127). Dan Began was right. Pat was always smiling...
And when it came to walking, Pat had hitch in his gitty-up. He had gotten his foot under a lawn mower and lost all but his middle toe. He was always smiling as he showed off 'The Toe" too!
Pat was a fun guy. Remember I had a 65 Chevelle and I "customized" it with an aluminum gas pedal ..what we used to call "The McCarthy Pedal" since I had to cut off the little toe due to interference with the carpet on the hump.

I don't remember much about Pat, other than what's been mentioned already, an ever present smile. I my opinion that's an amazing legacy.Joe Korinko
